Corset Liner
When wearing your corset, you should always wear something underneath. This is for several reasons.
You need something to protect your skin from the corset. If you wear the corset
alone, the durable fabric can be abrasive to the skin. Thus, you will develop "hot spots"
and in extreme cases, the corset could cut into your waistline at the sides. By wearing a smooth,
silky garment that adapts to your body underneath the corset, you prevent these problems from occurring.
You also need to protect your corset from perspiration. Remember the old saying, "Horses sweat, gentlemen
perspire, and ladies glow"? Perspiration has fluids in it that will slowly destroy the lining of your corset.
By wearing a garment underneath your corset and changing it daily, you prolong the life of your corset. Thus,
the Corset Liner was created.
I feel that it is important to have the corset liner fitted to your body, not in graduated sizes that are made
to fit "all body types". If the corset liner is just a straight tube, where the hips and chest measurements are
the made the same size as the waistline, there can be a gathering of material at your waist which will be EXTREMELY
uncomfortable. Left alone, this gathering of material may even cut you at the side of the waist. On the other hand,
if the tube is sized only by your waist measurement, without any forethought for the larger hips, the tightness of
the spandex will constrict your hips, and cause discomfort, not to mention reduce the visual impact of fuller hips.
In its worse case, the over-constrictive, pre-made tube can cause nerve problems in the hip joints and legs.
Corset Liner Details
- Wasp Creations corset liners are sized specifically for the client. This avoids wrinkling at the waist which will cause painful chaffing.
- The Corset Liner comfortably moulds itself to your body
- Elastic is built in at the top and bottom to prevent the Corset Liner from rolling or slipping down the body.
- Unlike silk vests, chemises, slips, girdles, etc., our Corset Liners have only one vertical seam which runs up the back. The fewer seams there are in the garment you choose to wear under your corset, the smaller occurrence of chaffing.
- The silky properties of the spandex allow the corset to easily glide
over your body. Allowing for easier lacing, and greater comfort throughout the day.
- The liner can be worn so that it will not be seen. Thus giving the illusion of wearing nothing under your corset.
- The Corset Liner is hand and machine washable.
Corset Liners are $25 each. Three for $65. Available in black or white only.
If you would like a corset liner, please fill out the
Corset Liner Measurement Form. You will not need to fill out the form if you are ordering a corset liner to accompany your corset. I will derive the necessary measurements from your corset order.
