Wasp Creations Discipline Corset Measurement Guide

  • Your provided measurements will be used to make a corset pattern for you and you alone. Therefore, please take honest, accurate measurements in ½" increments against the skin or over your everyday undergarments.. Do not write down vanity or speculative measurements. If inaccurate measurements are given, the corset will not fit properly. I, Amy Crowder, am not responsible for inaccurate measurements.
  • Have a partner measure you. If you do not have a partner, then it is advisable to hire a local tailor or experienced seamstress to take the measurements. You can take the measurements yourself, but accurate results are difficult to achieve.
  • Please use a marker or pen to mark reference points on the body. This will help keep track of the vertical measurements.
  • Ladies, please wear the same style of bra you wear on a daily basis. This will help ensure that the underbust corset will not interfere with your bra.
  • It is preferable to measure in the morning or after sleeping. This is due to the fact that gravity compresses our spines and causes us to shrink about ½ to 1" through the day. Sleep allows the spine to decompress.

Under Bust. Measure around your chest just below your bust. On ladies, this is just below the bottom edge of the under wire of your bra. On Gentlemen, this is just below the pectoral (breast) muscle.

Mid ribs. Measure around your ribs just between your underbust and waist measurement.
C
Waist. Measure around your natural waist. The waist is located between your lowest floating rib and the very top of your pelvis. After measuring, place a belt snugly about the waist. The bottom edge of the belt is the baseline of all vertical measurements.
D
High Hip. Measure 2" down from your waist measurement, and make a mark on your skin on both hips. Then, measure around your hips at this level.
E
Fullest Hip. Measure your hips at its fullest point. Place small marks on each side of your hips so that this point can be found later.
F
Circumference at beginning of leg Measure the circumference at the beginning (just below crotch) of your legs. Place small marks on each side of your hips so that this point can be found later.

Mid Thigh Put your legs placed tightly together. Measure around mid thigh. Place small marks on each side of your hips so that this point can be found later. This will be the bottom of a mid-thigh length Discipline corset.

Waist to Underbust. Measure up from your waist (bottom edge of the belt) to the underbust. Be sure that you are standing with perfect posture.

Waist to Fullest Hip. Measure straight down from the waist to the point marked on step E.
J
Waist to beginning of Leg. Measure straight down from the waist to the point marked on step F.
K
Waist to Mid-Thigh. Measure straight down from the waist to the point marked on step G.

Corset Waist Measurement. Interior waist measurement of the finished corset . Please follow these guidelines to maximize your comfort:
  • If you do not intend to wear the corset daily, I recommend a 4" waist reduction only
  • If you plan to tightlace daily, and your natural waist measurement is over 25", I suggest a 6" waist reduction.
  • If your natural waist measurement is 25" or below, I suggest a 4" reduction.

*Knee-length Discipline corset only. Knee Put your legs placed tightly together. Measure around your leg just above the kneecap. Place small marks on each side of your knees so that this point can be found later. This will be the bottom of a Knee length Discipline corset

*Knee-length Discipline corset only. Waist to Knee Measure straight down from the waist to the point marked on step M.
