Penitence Corset

During the winter of 2008, I was approached by a married couple who have been wearing my corsets for several years. The new project for the husband would be a special corset. The idea would be a corset that holds the neck up and back slightly. Also, the corset would have shoulder straps to hold the shoulders back.

The photos displayed on this page show the results. The main section of the corset is a mid hip style made with black leather with a red poly/cotton lining. The vertical stitching is accented by a red thread. On the side sections of the waist, drop D-rings are placed for securing wrist cuffs, etc.

Shoulder straps are anchored at the back to force the shoulders back. The straps have several adjustments to increase, or decrease the rearward pull on the shoulders. Lifting up front the center front and back of the main corset body are steel-stayed sections connecting up to a posture collar. The stays run fully fron the bottom of the corset to the top of the neck. This restricts the neck from moving forward or back.

A posture collar is positioned at the top to keep the neck from moving and to promote proper posture. The neck section of the corset is lined with red satin. This is so that long-term wear will not cause discomfort or abrasion to soft skin at the neck. On the sides of the posture collar are extensions that eliminate movement at the neck.

The gentleman who wears the corset has been very kind in sharing his thoughts:

"This corset is very restrictive. Once laced into it, you have no choice but to give Mistress or Master your full attention. When combined with a tight rubber or leather hood, the head is completely imobilized. The feeling of being laced into it is quite wonderfull, and your breasts can't help but feel they are on display."
