Short Hip Underbust Corset

The Short Corset is our least restrictive style. Due to the short hip length, this style is best suited for ladies or gentlemen that are petite or have thin hips and a relatively flat tummy. The unrestrained hips are allowed to slightly spread outward for a fuller appearance. Even with a 4-6 inch waist reduction, this style is very comfortable to wear and never hampers walking or sitting.

Further Details

Are you looking for a corset to start a tight lacing program? Perhaps a corset to wear under that special evening dress or business suit? Or just maybe you want to be the center of attention and wear it over your clothing! Anyway you desire, the Short Corset style will allow you to sculpt your body in comfort. If you live in a warm climate, the Short style is also available in a cooler, Summer Corset design.

The Short Corset is an underbust model suited for modern tightlacers. This corset is designed to be virtually invisible under most modern clothing such as pants, shorts, dresses, blouses, and even bodysuits. After all, we tightlacer's would much rather have people see our figure, and not the garment that helps us achieve it.

For those that are committed to 24-hour waist training, this style is even comfortable to sleep in. Please see the articles page for detailed information about proper tightlacing techniques.

Like all our corset designs, the short corset uses a stiffened underbusk, which flattens the tummy, providing a more flattering figure. The stiff underbusk is a moderately firm piece of 1" wide steel cut to the length dictated by the clients physical attributes. The underbusk prevents undue pressure over the upper abdomen. If there is too much pressure over the upper abdomen, the tightlacer may encounter heartburn, gas, constipation, and bloating. The underbusk also flattens the lower abdomen, resulting in a svelte figure that any girdle, antique or modern, cannot provide.

If you are a woman with full hips, then I recommend the Mid-Hip corset style over the Short. If you are a thin to average sized male, the Short Corset is best suited for you. If you are a heavy set man, the Numan is an excellent choice. This may be a bit confusing, so I created a page to help you select the right style of corset for your needs.
