Mid hip Underbust Corset
The Mid-hip Corset is best suited for ladies
that have fuller hips and a bit of tummy. The corset has very little rise at
the bottom from the center front to the hip-line. The bottom is cut just high
enough for comfortable sitting. This extra coverage puts more compression over
the lower abdomen and mid hips.

Further Details
Are you looking for a corset to start a tight
lacing program? Perhaps a corset to wear under that special evening dress or
business suit? Or just maybe you want to be the center of attention and wear it
over your clothing! Anyway you desire, the Mid-hip Corset will allow you to
sculpt your body in comfort. If you live in a warm climate, the Mid-hip
Corset is also available in a cooler,
Summer Corset design.
The Mid-hip Corset is an underbust model suited for modern
tightlacers. This corset is designed to be virtually invisible under most
modern clothing such as pants, shorts, dresses, and blouses. The
Mid-hip corset is a little
more restrictive over the hips than our
Short Corset
, but still allows you to move about easily. Even with a 4-6 inch waist
reduction, this style is very comfortable to wear and never hampers walking or
sitting. For those that are commited to daily waist training, this
style is even comfortable to sleeping. Please see the articles page for
detailed information about proper tightlacing techniques.
The
compression over the abdomen is achieved through the cut of the corset panels
and the stiff underbusk. The stiff underbusk is a moderately firm piece of 1"
wide steel cut to the length dictated by the clients physical attributes. The
underbusk prevents undue pressure over the upper abdomen. If there is too much
pressure over the upper abdomen, the tightlacer may encounter heartburn, gas,
constipation, and bloating. The underbusk also flattens the lower abdomen,
resulting in a svelte figure that any girdle, antique or modern, cannot
provide.
If you are a very petite woman or are rather thin and
have slight hips, then I recommend the Short-hip Corset Style. If you are a
male, I typically recommend the Short Corset for you as well. If you are a heavy
set man, the Numan is an excellent choice. This may be a bit
confusing, so I created a page to help you select the right style of corset for
your needs.
