What to wear under your corset
Before we begin hooking the corset around your body,
we must address an issue of protecting your body and corset from each other.
The human skin produces oils that will slowly destroy the integrity of the
corset's inner panels. Also, the compression and stiff form of the corset may
begin to abrade, and chafe your tender skin after only a few hours of wear. It
is very important to wear a light, smooth garment between your body and corset.
Not only will this garment protect your body and corset from each other, but
will allow the corset to glide smoothly over your frame. This allows better
positioning of your body in the corset, as well as greater ease in actual
lacing.
Garments suitable to wear under the corset are
Wasp Creations Corset Liners, bodysuits,
leotards, slips, A-Line T-shirts, all-in-one girdles. The best garment would be
light, smooth, and have a minimum of seams. Try to avoid wearing a garment with
seams at the side, as the seams will quickly agitate your skin after only a few
hours of wear. If you plan to wear your corset under your daily clothing, it
would be unwise to wear an under garment that will hamper bathroom
activities.
My favorite article of clothing to wear under the corset is
the
Corset Liner. The Corset Liner will
prolong the life of your new corset and will provide more comfort while
tightlacing. The Corset Liner has been tailored for your body, so it will not
bulk up at the waist, or pinch your hips and will not appear outside the
corset.
Below are steps to properly place the Wasp Creations Corset
liner onto your body.
1. Apply lotion to your body and allow to
dry.
2. If you look on the inside of the liner near the elastic, you
will notice a section of red thread. This is to denote the top rear of the
liner.
3. Just step into the Liner, and adjust around your body for a
smooth fit. The seam should run up the center of your spine. It should fit
under your breast line and over your hips.
4. Now you are ready to lace
up!
